BRAD COVERDELL Obituary

Brad Coverdell left us suddenly and much too soon on March 10, 2011, while traveling for business in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania.

He was born to Robert and Jo Ann (Hill) Coverdell on July 22, 1962, in Kalispell, Montana. Brad spent his childhood in Columbia Falls, MT, where he developed a passion for skiing on Big Mountain. His family moved to Spokane, WA, where he attended Rogers High School and graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Gonzaga University (GO ZAGS!). When in high school, he met the LOVE of his life, Aileen. We moved to Richland to begin our lives together. Brad worked for ARES Corporation as a Senior Engineer. During this time, a wonderful event happened when Gregory Coverdell came into our life. Brad was a good father being involved in his son's life as baseball coach, science partner but most of all, daddy.

He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Coverdell. Those left on this earth to remember him are his wife Aileen Coverdell, son Gregory, and his mother, Jo Ann Hill of Spokane. Aunt Carol Lee and Uncle Oystein Solheim of Shingle Springs, CA. Cousins that were more like sisters and brothers to him, Debbie and Dave Reynolds of Spokane, Beth and Ron Mainer of Sacramento, Eric and Helen Solheim of Adelaide, Australia.

Aileen's family considered Brad as the 'eighth child,' not the son/ brother in-law. He will be remembered by Frank Miley, Sharon, Robert, David, James, Benjamin and Edward. He was Uncle Brad to numerous nieces and nephews.

We all will miss you Brad.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Benton-Franklin Chapter of the American Red Cross.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 19, 2011, at Christ the King Church, 1111 Stevens Drive, Richland, WA.

Greg, I'm very sorry to hear of your fathers passing. I had the opportunity to coach you on the 10 year-old Richland National All-Star team. You are a talented athlete and great kid. I'm quite sure you made your father very proud. May God bless you and your family in this difficult time.

I am so sorry to hear of Brad's passing. Brad was such a nice, good guy. We enjoyed spending time with your family when both Greg and Mark were on the RNLL Texas Rangers baseball team as well as the 10-year-old All Star baseball that year in Moxee, WA. Our prayers and positive thoughts are with both you and Greg.

I was with Brad during the two week trip to Craneberry Township, PA and had only met him two weeks prior at the beginning of the trip. However, during that short time frame, Brad made a forever lasting impression on me as both a roll model as an engineer, but more importantly as a person with great character and a kind heart.

Aileen, my prayers are with you and Gregory at this most difficult time. I am lifting you both in my prayers, for God to wrap you in His arms, and comfort you. I also pray that you will be surrounded by family and friends to help you through this time.
