To the family of Clarice. I was one of your mother's 8th grade Home Ec students at Chief Joseph in 1969. That was a long time ago, but she was a good teacher and took a special interest in me as a very shy student who loved homemaking. I didn't have much self-confidence, but she helped a lot. I will always be grateful to her and have sometimes wondered what she did after we moved out to Benton City. My own mother just passed away on Monday the 21st, so I am also having a deep loss. May you be comforted by our gracious Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in the days to come. Sincerely, Patty Hines Wells, Tangent, Oregon

John and Dan, please accept the condolences of my family to your family. I had not seen your mom in years but always thought of her as cheerful and gifted and a wonderful addition to the community, both in Richland and on Whidbey Island. Stephanie Dawson Janicek
