Brother Louis Rommel, F.S.C LINCROFT, NJ - Brother Louis Rommel, F.S.C, 87, of Lincroft, NJ died Sunday at De La Salle Hall, Lincroft. Brother Louis was born in New York City. He received the Holy Habit of the Christian Brothers on September 7, 1946. He earned a Master of Art Degree from Manhattan College in 1959. Brother Louis’ assignments included Sacred Heart School, New York City, Good Shepherd School, New York City, Immaculate Conception School, Bronx, N.Y. where he served as principal, St. Augustine Community, Bronx, N.Y., Sacred Heart School, Bronx, N.Y., Monsignor Kelly School, New York City, La Salle Institute, Troy, N.Y. where he served as principal of the junior-middle School, La Salle Institute, Troy, N.Y. He had been in residence at De La Salle Hall, Lincroft since 2007. He is survived by two nephews, William and Stephen Allinger. The viewing will be held at De La Salle Hall, Lincroft on Thursday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at De La Salle Hall at 11:00 a.m. The interment will follow at St. Gabriel’s Cemetery, Marlboro Township, NJ. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the De La Salle Nursing Development, 810 Newman Springs Road, Lincroft, NJ 07738 would be appreciated.
