Mary Ann Rotondi Obituary

Mary Ann Reville Rotondi, 62, of Colleen Road passed away Thursday, October 3, 2013, at St. Mary's Hospital after a brief illness.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was daughter of the late John Reville and Eleanor Hopner Reville and wife of Louis A. Rotondi. She had resided in the Troy area since 1976. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from SUNY College at Plattsburgh in Elementary Education and studied for her Master's in Special Education at Russell Sage College.
For the past 32 years, Mary Ann had been employed by the Center for Disability Services most recently as a Program Operations Specialist II.
She was very involved with her children's education and activities having been a Girl Scout leader for her daughter from Brownie to Cadet, teaching Catechism and was a confirmation instructor. She was also involved in her son's Boy Scout troop. She enjoyed shopping, cooking, decorating for whatever season, day trips, vacations (especially to the Jersey shore), history, science-fiction...she was a total Trekie.
Survivors in addition to her husband, include her children, Elizabeth A. Rotondi, Troy and Matthew L. Rotondi, CT; a niece, Amanda (T.J.) Newton, NC; and brother-in-law, Marcel Baruth, Yonkers, NY. She was predeceased by her sister, Jean M. Baruth.
Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc., 276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Monday from 4 - 7 p.m.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday, at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery Schuylerville at 12 noon.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Mary Ann Rotondi to Whiskers Benevolent Animal League PO Box 11190 Loudonville, NY 12211 or the Center for the Disability Services 314 South Manning Blvd., Albany, NY 12208.

Mary Ann started the Empire State Plaza Day hab Satellite program. She was always happy! it was her that recommended me to join the self advocate group to represent the people at E.S.P. SATELLITE program. I will always greatful to her! I would always stop in the south work floor to say hi to Mary Ann on my way out of Seven hundred, she will be truly missed!

The Vocational Training and Services program will truly miss Mary Ann and all that she has contributed to the consumers and the program over many years. Mary Ann was talented teacher and mentor.
