Joe SCHILLINGER Obituary

SCHILLINGER, Joe D. 83, of Tucson, AZ passed away on June 18, 2017. He was born in Lima, Ohio on February 1, 1934. Joe attended the Ohio State University on an NROTC Scholarship and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. Upon receiving his commission as an Ensign, Joe reported for duty aboard the USS English (DD 696), the "greyhound of the sea", as he fondly referred to it. Joe finished his five years of active duty after completing a tour at USC as a Naval instructor. He was a proud member of the Beta Theta Pi fraternity during his years at Ohio State. Joe spent 30 years with Honeywell traveling the world as Director of International Marketing in commercial aviation. He crisscrossed the globe bringing cutting edge avionics to the world's airlines. Joe was a wonderful man, loyal friend, mentor to his children and the love of his wife's life. He died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. Joe is survived by his wife, Judith and his children, Larry (Susan) Seeley, Sharon Seeley, David (Lisa) Seeley, six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. God has Joe in his keeping, we have him in our hearts. A private service will be held at a later date at the East Lawn cemetery. Arrangements by EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY.
