I was privileged to work as a teacher at Richey School with Betty. Although I had lost contact after moving away, I have never forgotten her dedication to children as a role model for all educators.

My condolences to the family and friends, Betty was such a wonderful person. I had the pleasure of knowing her from Richey School. My grandmother Mrs. Jimenez would like to send her prayers during this tough time, she was a school monitor at Richey and worked with Betty.

Lorraine and all the family,
I am so sorry to read that Betty has passed away. She was such an educator, and so important in the lives of so many children through the years. As a descendant of Augustus Brichta, the first teacher in Tucson Public Schools in the 1800s, she was a strong link to the past as well as to the future through her devotion to teaching. She was kind, professional, and supportive to her many peers and new teachers and administrators coming up. I valued her! I feel her loss.
