Thomas WEEKS

WEEKS, Thomas age 94, left this world to enter Heaven on June 20, 2017. He is now reunited with the love of his life, his precious Mildred. He is survived by his children, Sherri Osgood, Whit Weeks and Wes Weeks (Diane); grandchildren, Brad Osgood, Charles Osgood, Tiffany Weeks, Kevin Weeks, Stacy Nelson, Breanna Weeks, Ryan Weeks, Brittany Weeks and his ten great-grandchildren. His greatest joy was the love and admiration given, received and returned from his grandchildren. Thomas (TW) was born on August 22, 1922 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Growing up, he developed his love for baseball and softball and became an accomplished ball player. He proudly served his country in the Army during World War II. He was in three major battles in France, Belgium and Germany, including Omaha Beach and the famous Battle of the Bulge. Immediately after being discharged, he returned to Pine Bluff, then moved to Gila Bend, and later, Ajo, Arizona. In 1965, the family moved to Tucson. He worked 35 years for the Arizona Department of Transportation until his retirement in 1985. TW's greatest joy was caring for his family, especially his grandchildren. He would say, "I love my family, each and every one of them." He will be remembered for his caring heart, devotion to family, and his service to our country. The family would like to thank Summersett Acres Assisted Living Home, Robin Rash MD, Casa De La Luz Hospice, and the many caretakers who so lovingly cared for TW. A private Celebration Service will be held. Arrangements by MARANA MORTUARY.
