Robert Lundquist Obituary

Robert Edward Lundquist passed away on Sunday, February 8, 2015. He was surrounded by loved ones and it was a gentle, peaceful passing. Born to Lawrence and Lolita Lundquist on April 30, 1947 in Belmont, MA, he grew up in Maplewood, MN with his brother Ron and sisters Lynn Marie and Lee Ann. He attended Dartmouth College where he was a star running back on the football team. He attended law school at the University of Arizona, and remained in Tucson until his death. He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline; children, Jennifer Hushour of Lake Stevens, WA, James Lundquist of Chandler AZ, Kirsten Boone of Scottsdale, AZ, and Taylor Lundquist of Tucson, AZ; step-children, Kenneth Kitts of Phoenix, AZ and Susan DiScenza of Sebastian, FL; and eight beautiful grandchildren. Bob was a scholar, an athlete, an outdoorsman, and a remarkable musician. He volunteered his time with Lawyers for Literacy, Triangle Y Camp, and coached several youth sports. Known to his friends and family as "Mountain Bob", he lived life to the fullest and leaves this world with many stories to remember him by. He will be deeply missed. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church in the Old Chapel at 7650 N. Paseo del Norte, Tucson, AZ 85704. A gathering at his home will be held immediately after the service. All are welcome to attend to help us honor and remember this extraordinary man. Donations in Bob's honor can be made to the Primavera Foundation at Primavera.org. Arrangements by ADAIR FUNERAL HOME, Avalon Chapel.

I met Bob at Dartmouth in the late 60's. He was a good person and mezmorizing in the band. He played his guitar in a Dartmouth dorm for all of us to enjoy. Never to be forgotten. Linda Parkes. RIP

Ijust heard about this last night, since living in Beijing makes news like travel slowly. I am very disappointed since I was hoping to see Bob at our 50th reunion in September, which will be my first reunion after all these years.

I am so sorry ti hear about Bob. I grew up down the street from Bob, his sister LeeAnn and I met in brownies, and we thought it was so cool that our big brothers had the same first name, Bob and Ron, they were the same age and went to the same schools! I haven't seen Bob in years, but often thought of him, he will be missed up here in Minnesota! And LeeAnn, I'm thinking about you and am so sorry. Please get in touch soon!
