I just learned of losing Raymond.
It is now November and I missed the services. I have so many great memories. I remember laying in the sun with Roxie and Shelly with gallons of baby oil! (before the SPF)

I had my first real kiss with Raymond playing spin the bottle. Troy, Blake, Ingrid, Raymond and I use to ride the mini-bikes in the alley and we would get in so much trouble. One day we were playing base ball in Raymonds yard and Blake split his knee wide open on a sprinkler head.
I could go on and on with so may stories about Raymond.

I have photos of Raymond and of the gang and I will post them for Raymonds family to enjoy.

Thank you Cathy for the call regarding Raymond.

Love you Ray.

My condolences to the entire Luety family, I just received the news from my sister, Kelly. Whenever I think of Raymond I always smile. He was a great friend and I have so many good memories of the old neighborhood, Jr. High and High School that almost all include him. Going to all those concerts together, camping at Mt. Lemon in the snow and of course all of the parties. So glad to hear he found peace before he left this world. The memory of the summer when Mr. Leuty brought Raymond and Blake to California and we all went to Knott's Berry Farm and hung out at the beach is one of my most fondest childhood memories. And what great voice he had, I can still picture him singing "Too Hot" by Kool and the Gang with the vaccum as his mike at our old house on Hayne street. This was of course before he became our heavy metal hero.
Rest in peace my friend.

Yesterday was Ray's birthday. My little brother would've turned 44. I miss you so much Bro. I thank God that you passed on knowing the truth about Jesus and our salvation. Of all the music, good times and bad times we shared, our conversations about our Savior Jesus Christ are what mean the most to me. I love you Baby Raymee. I am sad that you are gone and glad to know That I will see you again.

I don't live in Tucson anymore but my little brother Dallas just told me about Ray's passing. I'm gonna remember the smiling face that loved to tease me as we waited for the Tucson Citizen newspaper bundles to be dropped off at our home on Paseo Dorado. Ray had a route and so did my brothers and I. He was like having another 'pesky' little brother around. It was at our last chance meeting several years ago that he confessed he had had a 'crush' on me back then and the teasing was his way to get my attention. Well, I hope I meet you in heaven and yes, you can tease me there too Ray! Best Wishes and love to his family and sons, your Dad and brother lives on through you! I'm sure you're doing him proud!

Just wanted to say, sorry for your loss. Ray was a friend to my brothers and liked hanging out at our home. We didn't have much, but he never minded. I remember he asked if he could be an usher at my wedding which was held at home in my back yard. He was so sweet and caring. We lost touch over the years, but I will never forget his smile and friendliness.

Luety Family,

Please accept my sincerest condolensces during this difficult time. Ray's passing still has not completely sunk in with me yet. I was honored to be able to attend his funeral service. It was a beautiful rememberance. Ray was a big part of my life from the day I can remember. We remained the closest of friends through high school. Ray's brothers and sisters were like the older siblings I never had. Although we lost touch into our adult years, hardly a childhood memory goes by that does not include Ray. Whether it was listening to music, playing sports, joyriding in his dad's car or creating havoc at the El Con Mall, Ray was always in the center of it. One of the most creative thinkers that I have ever met. He had a dynamic personality and was a magnet for all who came to know him. Rest in peace Ray. You will be missed.

What a nice service today for Ray. Although I haven't seen Raymie in years, the slide show and listening to the people who spoke brought back great memories. I have been friends with Roxy and Shelly since first grade. Raymie and my brother Eric were the annoying little brothers. I remember Raymie always "spying" on us while we played office or did our fashion shows. He would sit behind the couch and giggle. There are no friends like old friends and that was proven today by the people who spoke and attended the service. I hope his sons Chris and Matthew will listen to the stories and memories of the Raymie we all remember.

Through a random phone call, I learned of this sad new. I lost contact with Ray many years ago. Can anyone tell me what happened? Ray and I took several Astronomy classes at SDSU in San Diego. He had a great sense of humor and was fun to know. I am so sad to hear of his passing and I wish to express my deepest sympathies to his family and friends. God bless you all.

My dad called my tonight to tell me that Ray had passed away. I was very sorry to hear the news and my thoughts and prayers go out to Ray's family in their great loss.

Ray and I went all through school together starting in elementary school where we became great friends. We enjoyed being in band together where Ray played the trombone and I played the drums. I remember that Ray would often come over after school and hide his trombone case under a bush while we played outside. Ray was a lot of fun and always a true friend. He will be truly missed.

Like so many of us, I was friends with Ray at Rincon and into the college years but lost touch over the years. We weren't best friends but I considered us good friends.

I will always remember Ray's easy manner, infectious laugh and great sense of humor and will always have fond memories of the times we spent playing football at the park, hanging out talking & laughing, HV Rebel softball, awesome late night air band sessions (Ray was usually the drummer) and the HS ski trips were a blast.

Ray will be missed by us all. Rest in Peace Ray.

I would also like to send my sincere condolences to the Luety family for their loss.

Sincerely,

Sarah Hendrickson

My deepest sympathy to Ray's family. I knew Ray in Jr. High and High School. I apprecaited all of the rides he gave me home from Rincon and listening to The Car's, in his car. Just hanging out with him was so fun. Ray was so kind and loving. We had not talked since college but I have such great memories of him and how smart he was and his love for music. What a great person he was.

Raymie,
I know you are finally at peace and in Jehovah's hands. For that I'm glad. But it doesn't make this any easier for me. I miss you and I love you so much, I'm wondering now if I did enough to let you know that. I hope so. I promise to make sure Chris and Matthew Know who you really were, and how much you loved them. I'll do my best to care for them until the day Jesus calls you out from the memorial tombs and we all see you and Mom again in paradise. What a grand day that reunion will be . I can't wait .Until then CHEERS!

I had the pleasure of meeting Ray in the 7th grade. He lived just a few blocks from my home in Tucson. We were good friends at Vail Jr. High, Rincon High School and NAU up in Flagstaff. I remember listening to Triumph CD's with Ray at his Dorm in Flagstaff and talking about the old times we had in Junior High School. Ray was extremely loyal, intelligent and he had a great sense of humor !! Ray was a special friend who loved life and who lived it to the fullest. I will always cherish our friendship and the time we spent together. God will be with Ray and his wonderful family. You left us far too soon Ray ! You will be greatly missed by all of your friends.

To My Friends the Leuty's
Your brother will be missed and l send my deepest condolences.

Years have passed since Mark, Will, Ray and myself enjoyed talking about the things little Brother was going to do, probably like most of us those were dreams but he did have ambitions.

Mark and Will always as the years went by kept Ray in their life and thoughts.

My friends have lost a Rock in their Pillar and he will be missed.

Ray was a great uncle. When he lived with us he tought me about music and math we talked a lot about God's word, and you could very much tell he had a heart for the lord. He seemed to always be smiling, and loved to laugh and make people laugh. I had not seen him in a few years, but always missed and loved him veary much. I will miss him deeply but am comforted to know he is with God and his mother who he always missed greatly. Ray thank you for teaching me so much early in life about so many things.

My mom just called me with the news.

Although I had mostly lost touch with Ray since college, other than a few phone calls and a few great meetings in Tucson around 94, Im deeply saddened by this news.

Ray was my best friend in high school and our first year at NAU. Probably the smartest, most creative guy I knew at the time and possibly my whole life.

Ray excelled in Math, Science and computers. At the same time, athletic, charismatic, musical with a real passion for the drums, which he infected me with as well.

Ray had the x factor and should have gone further than anyone in life.

I chose my major in college of computer science because Ray, who was a year older than me, majored in it!

I will remember our conversations, telling jokes, listening to music and just having a great time.

Later in life he and I had many deep conversations about Christ and his redemptive plan. Ray was deep in the word and understanding, as he was always able to. Had a great mind, and passion for learning.

I will forever remember him as my childhood friend who should have been an astronaut, which was his dream at 17.

Im gratetful Ray knew Christ as he and I talked at length about it and his passion was clear.

Rest in Peace Ray.

Rob
