I will always love you, Shawn. Thank you for making me a better person. And be my better half.

I was thinking today about people I've known in my life that I've respected and thought well of and then googling them to see what they are up to today. I was so sorry to find Shawn here on this page! Shawn was my boss at Desert View 2000-2002. He was fair, hard-working and kind. There was one-time when a visitor was in a panic because he'd lost his wallet and didn't know how he would be able to drive home because of not having money for gas. Shawn gave him $100 out of his own pocket and told the guy to mail it back when he could, and really wasn't concerned if he never got it back, but trusted that he would. Shawn just said something along the lines of "Glad to be able to help someone out." I'm sorry to learn he is no longer with us on this Earth. Much love to his family for raising a person I am glad to have crossed paths with for a few years of my life.

Being a regular visitor to the Park, up until the last few months I saw Shawn pretty much everyday. He talked about Football and the Bay Area where he grew up. He loved Flagstaff and the Canyon but was happy to be away from the cold winters up north. He talked often about his brother here in Tucson and his cats! Shawn was a very unassuming and gentle soul. Our condolences to his family and friends, he is already missed.

To the family,
I am so sorry for your loss. May fond memories and the love of family and friends be of comfort to you at this difficult time. (Proverbs 17:17) Again my sincere condolences.

Shawn was always so kind and welcoming at the booth at Saguaro National Park. I did not know him well, but it was always a pleasure to chat with him before riding my bike around the loop. I know he will be greatly missed.

Sleep in peace. The sound of your laughter will brighten my heart, until we meet again, I love you. Mom
