Sally HALL Obituary

HALL, Sally Ann Great adventurer and world traveler. She so enjoyed traveling "the scenic route." Her greatest joy was in raising her children and grandchildren. She wore many hats in her lifetime—as a youngster on the shores of Lake Michigan she was "lil toot" roaming the beaches, sand dunes, and riding her bike up and down the hills. As a young single mother, she was a "native" of the Sonoran Desert. Sally was employed for many years in the financial world and had a successful business career, first as a teller at Southern Arizona Bank and then at Pima Savings and Loan from 1962-1986. She retired as Senior Vice President of Operations. With equal joy, she then fulfilled many items on her bucket list! Highlights include moving to Mapleton, Oregon to live on a farm raising Herefords alongside the Siuslaw River, spending her 59th birthday out on a two week walking trek on the plains of Mongolia, and stretching her mind to embrace being a fiber artist and teacher at Spirited Hands Studio. She continued her world travels throughout. She never met a stranger and welcomed all with a bright smile and open hand. Sally states, "the greatest joy and success in my life comes from the raising of my three wonderful children." We all celebrate the life of the matriarch to our family. She has been a role model, an inspiration, and the glue of our "clan." Words cannot express how her physical presence will be missed. She is ALWAYS in our hearts. Sally Ann Hall, daughter of Elmer Ludwig and Lucille Anderson continued on to the next part of her journey on Wednesday, July 19, 2017.  Her two daughters and one son remain in Tucson along with their families. Daughter, Susan Thompson, son-in-law, Dana Thompson, grand-daughters, Kate Thompson and Samantha Thompson; Daughter, Lora Keppler, son-in-law, Ken Keppler, grandaughter, Brittany Miller and husband, Stefano Miller, great-grandson, Barrett Miller; grandson, Erich Keppler; Son, Joseph Johnson, daughter-in-law, Sara Johnson, grandson, Quinn Johnson, granddaughter, Avery Johnson. I am shocked and saddened to learn about Sally's passing. I was fortunate to have worked with her at the Pima Air & Space Museum where she was an incredible docent in the Space Gallery. She was not only very intelligent, beautiful inside and out; Sally had a genuine warmth and calmness about her. She was always friendly to strangers who came upon her path at the museum - thousands of visitors she educated about the Space Program and then some. My sincere sympathy and prayers are with Sally and her family who she loved so much. She will be missed by so, so many.

Sally, you will be missed by your "felting" friends. I enjoyed your friendship and guidance. God bless you and keep you. Love, your friend, Ellice

I want to offer condolences to you and your family for your loss. Death is a very a sad time, especially when we lose someone we love. It is so encouraging to know that God promises the Earth will be restored and we will be reunited with our deceased loved ones again. May the peace from our heavenly father comfort you at this time.

I'm sorry for your loss. She was a very compassionate and truly nice person. I worked for Ed and then for Sally for many years. Edna Bang
