Alice Ford Obituary

Alice Evans Ford passed away October 10, 2013. Preceded in death by her beloved husband, J. Dayton Ford and dear grandson, Cory Carrier. Survived by her daughters, Lynn Personius (Jerry), Kathy Spurgin, Anna Rottenstein (Myron), Beth Flores (James), Jamie Holt and eight grandchildren. Alice was born July 29, 1924 in Harrisburg, Illinois. She lived in many different cities and travelled the world but spent the past 36 years living in her favorite place, Tucson, Arizona. Alice will be remembered for her optimism and cheerful disposition that earned her the family nickname of Pollyanna. Mom was well-known in her Casas Adobes neighborhood as the driver of her gorgeous, classic, canary yellow Thunderbird. In addition to being the love of our father's life, Alice was a wonderful mother and grandmother. In her later years she was active in her church, played bridge and enjoyed the company of her many friends. Services will be held Thursday, October 17, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Casas Adobes Congregational Church, 6801 N. Oracle Rd. Mom supported many charities throughout her life but would wish that donations in her memory be made to Miss Maggie May's rescue, Interfaith Community Services, or Casas Adobes Congregational church.
