The Slaughter family were our across the street neighbors when we were all stationed at Ellsworth AFB in South Dakota. Mr. Slaughter Joe was a calm, loving and personable man who always had a kind word to say and a smile on his face. Everyone will miss your presence but we all know you will greet us when it is our time with a joke, a hug and a bulletin. Sending all my love and prayers to your family during this difficult time.

I have know Joe for 40 years. The most generous giving & caring man. He looked out for little children, old people and others the world had passed by or given up on. He loved the Lord with all his heart and shared his life with everyone he met. He took an interest in all the people he worked with in the Air Force, and at the Mines and Driving the buses. He will be missed deeply.

An honor to have worked with Joe having him as a bus driver to Duval Mine transporting miners and also his great personality as a Gray Line/Citizen Bus Driver. A real good man with high standards and morals, he left his mark and is now being rewarded.
