Muriel Wymore Obituary

Muriel "Myke" Wymore 80, passed away November 22, 2008. Muriel created a life well lived. She was compassionate, open-minded, resourceful, adventurous, and unstoppable. She migrated to Tucson in 1957 and promptly became an integral member of the community, volunteering decades of service to UA families, Pony Club, Girl Scouts, Desert Museum, and numerous public schools. She decorated her life with the flavors and diverse learnings of world travel. She imbued those closest to her with driving optimism, easy humor, and a uniquely grounded passion for life. She will be sorely missed by friends and family: husband Wayne; children, Farrell, Darcy, Melanie, Leslie; grandchildren, Teisha, Bryan, Ashley, Riley, Kelsie, Rowyn, Quinn; and great-grandchild, Austin. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Planned Parenthood.

You mom touched so many lives in so many ways. Her strength and beauty was
amazing. I will never forget your family get togethers that I was included
in and apprecaited being made part of your family. I wish you so much
strength during this time, I know it must be very difficult for all of you
and especially your dad. My heart and prayers of best wishes will be for
all of you. I'm sorry I couldn't make it down, I hope we will be able to
get together soon. Love Kelly

Mrs. Wymore was a class act. One of the greatest things about being Leslie's friend and roommate at U of A (and there were many) was the fact that I got to meet Mrs. Wymore and go into that fabulous kitchen. The world won't be the same without her. Luckily she left a fabulous brood behind. My condolences to all of her wonderful family.

I believe we are molded from the people in our lives, and the mothers we become is due to the influence of our own mothers. Leslie, I am so sorry for your loss, however I know the mother you are and you had to have been molded from the best. Her life was incredible, and what she has passed on through you is priceless.
