Elizabeth Kuhn Obituary

Elizabeth Casey Kuhn died April 19, 2015 at age 94, in the Tucson home she shared with her daughter, Karen Smith. Libby was born in Cambridge, Ohio to Clara (Rodgers) and Charles Casey. After her parents' deaths Libby lived with her aunt and uncle, Amy (Rodgers) and Frank Robinson in Barnesville, Ohio. She graduated from Barnesville High School in 1938. Libby continued her education at Lake Erie College and Pratt Institute, where she met her husband of 66 years, artist Robert Kuhn. Libby and Bob lived 50 wonderful years in Roxbury, Ct. where they raised their family. They migrated west to Tucson 20 years ago. Libby engaged in many creative endeavors. She designed a beautiful home where she welcomed family and friends with style and grace. You could count on her sense of humor and honest opinion. We loved her for it. Libby was predeceased by her husband and sisters. She is survived by her children, Casey and Mary Kuhn, Karen Smith and Julie Fredette; her grandchildren, Judd Smith (Tina), Tyler Smith (Yoko), Carrie Kuhn (John Danduran), Sarah Campbell (Peter), Brett Smith (Rosa Walker), and great- grandchildren. Arrangements are being made by ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel, Tucson, AZ. Memorial donations can be made to Humane Society of Southern Arizona or Casa De La Luz, Tucson, AZ.

Karen, Julie and Casey, your mother was such a grand lady. As part of her book discussion group I always looked forward to visiting her home and the privilege of viewing your dad's art... and some of hers.
