Sarah Jane Cato Boles

TUSCALOOSA | Jane celebrated her birthday, ninety-five years to the day, as she went to be with the Lord. She was born in Jonesboro, Arkansas, November 29, 1920, to Floyd and Margie Cato. She attended the University of Alabama where she married John Boles in 1939.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was active in Tuscaloosa in several clubs and was known for her love of the arts and decorating.
Jane was among the first residents of Capstone Village living independently with friends and a staff that she loved.
She was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, John F. Boles and her son, John C. Boles.
She is survived by her daughter, Suzanne "Suzy" B. Thetford and son- in-law, William "Bill" F. Thetford. Her grandchildren include: Will Thetford, John Thetford (Shelley), Ben Boles (Erin) in Huntsville and Suzanne B. Parker in San Luis Obispo, California. Her adored great-grandchildren are Ansley and Jillian Boles, Coleman and Madeline Thetford, and Weston Hosn.

There will be a private burial followed by a memorial service conducted by Reverend Bill Thetford at Capstone Village on Thursday, December 3, 2015, at 3:00 p.m. followed by a reception.
