William Cubel Obituary
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Orr Cubel, his son, Gregg L. Cubel and daughter-in-law Annelise Cubel, and three grandchildren, Adam Christopher, Michael Anthony, and Tatiana Marie Cubel, all of Tuscaloosa.
Mr. Cubel was a native of Indianapolis, Indiana. Bill retired from General Motors (Allison Gas Turbine) in Indianapolis, Indiana in 1996 with 35 years of service. Bill was treasurer of the South Baldwin Republican Party from 2004-2008 and Architectural Review Chairman for Craft Farms for 2006-2007. He was also a member of St. Thomas by the Sea Catholic Church in Orange Beach, where he was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 13339. He attained the honor of a 4th Degree Knight and had been Deputy Grand Knight, and Advocate and Public Relations Chairman. In 2006-2007, he was the coordinator for Arnold Palmer's "Arnie's Army Battles Prostate Cancer" Golf Tournament at Craft Farms.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Arnie's Army Battles for Prostate Cancer, 1250 4th St., Santa Monica, CA 90401.
