Lloyd Felts Obituary

SMOOT, W.Va. Lloyd Randall Felts, age 81, of Smoot, W.Va., passed away Thursday, June 28, 2012, at Roanoke Memorial hospital in Roanoke, Va. Graveside services will be 12 noon today, July 3, 2012, at Calvary United Methodist Church Cemetery in Lewisburg, W.Va. with Rev. Frank Jones officiating. Friends may call today from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at the Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg, W.Va.

Born December 20, 1930, in McDowell County, W.Va., he was a son of the late James Anthony and Alice Callie Hall Felts. Mr. Felts was a coal miner for Jim Walter Mines, was a member of the Rupert Church of God and the Alberta Church of God. He was also a member of the Moose Lodge. He was a veteran of the Korean War.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Gilda Mae White Felts; daughter, Dreama Sue Felts of Asheboro, N.C.; six sons, Dale Randall Felts of Bluefield, W.Va., James Roy Felts of Tuscaloosa, Ala., Darrell Wayne Felts of Ballard, W.Va., Kyle Howard Felts of Tuscaloosa, Ala., Kelly Keith Felts of Dallas, Texas, and David Eric Felts of Smoot, W.Va.; two sisters, Agnes Felts Wheeler and Karen Felts Workman, both of Roanoke, Va.; brothers, James “Jimmy” Felts of Cincinnati, Ohio, Lonnie Felts of South Carolina, Thomas Felts of Indiana, and Kenneth Felts of Caples, W.Va.; 15 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Family members will serve as pallbearers.

Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home, 102 North Jefferson Street, Lewisburg, WV 24901, is in charge of arrangements.
