I was so saddened to hear of Jerry's passing. He was such a gentle man with the heart of a lion. Especially, in his passion for public education and his desire to always look for ways to support and improve education for all students. He will be missed.

Aunt Delores & Family - I am deeply saddened by the loss of my Uncle Jerry. Memories of him keep rushing back - great memories of vacations in Minn...I remember visiting you in your purple house, your baked Alaska, Uncle Jerry giving Andy & Brianna tractor rides up North. My Uncle Jerry lead a life deserving of admiration; I am proud to have had him as my uncle. I am praying the Lord comfort you in your grief.

Jerry is a great person and a passionate advocate for people. I remember when he first began his appearances on Bob Zick's cable program talking about 622. Jerry's commitment to education has truly engaged others to become involved in their communities regardless of the cause. "It's our responsibility" he always said. He was so friendly every time my parents met him out and about. He always remembered everyone's name. Such a people person. Heaven is being blessed with a great spirit in Jerry. Jerry is missed here on earth today. I hope everyone finds comfort in knowing that we will all be reunited again in heaven.

Jerry Markie was a very special man. An extraordinary man. A loving man who cared deeply about his family and his community. Jerry Markie was my uncle and I miss him already. Now all the Markie siblings are in Heaven together. What a homecoming. Give my mom and dad a hug from me Uncle. Love to Aunt Dolores and all my cousins too.

Jerry was a very thoughtful, kind, considerate man. His warmth towards everyone was a inspiration to all that meet him. His encouragement to other producers was inspirational at the Suburban Community Channel. I had been fortunate enough to meet Jerry, and he will hold a special place not only my heart, but all those who's lives he had touched.

Jerry Markie was a very special man. His passion for kids and our schools was inspiring. He took his passion to a level that made a difference when he developed the "Jerry Markie Education Update" program through Suburban Community Channels 10 years ago! He always had a warm smile and a heart to match. He instantly became "family" at our studio. He will be so greatly missed - but NEVER forgotten. We love Jerry Markie!
