Hi Dad...
We are almost done with cleaning of your home, amongst the sadness in cleaning it, there has also been some good new memories forming.
It is weird going up there and not having you walk me out to my truck and waving goodbye.
This whole things sucks, in case you didn't know that, but I am sure you do cause I bet a few of your children have said...DAD THIS SUCKS!!! Well, today is another day you are still missed terribly and wish we could turn back the hands of time, but as you know we can't. I love you very much...say hi to Rick for me because I know the two of you are sitting there saying...man why are they keeping that stuff and chuckling.....

Good memories of our dear neighbor for 46 years. He was: dad to the 7 kids who played with our 7 kids, master tree-house builder, host of our annual alley party, sharer of Jake’s December birthday, and distributor of the latest state quarters. We will miss him.

My heart goes out the entire Donlon family. I'm sorry I couldn't attend the funeral. Dick was a fine man, when I think back he and all of you bring a smile to my heart - thank you and know that you will be in my prayers.

What I remember most about Grandpa is he was no nonsense about most things but he could still tell a good joke. I remember his laugh the most. He had a great laugh! Our sympathies are with everyone.
