Dear Mike, Julie and family, Words fail to express the sadness we feel in this loss to your family. Of course, our memories of Joey pretty much end with the strong, wirey little peanut we knew when you lived on Manomin, but what sweet memories they are of a special little boy. Our hearts go out to you as you miss your son, brother and uncle. We trust you to the tender care of our dear Abba, who is more than sufficient to meet even this tremendous need. Lifting you to the One who reigns, Dave and Judy Glaze

I once heard "What is gained in love is greater than what is lost in death." Joey most certainly lived with love. Every day. His kindness, the twinkle in his eye, the depth of his friendships and the love and respect through which he lived his life will be cherished by many. I cant imagine the pain of your loss and hope that you find comfort.

Our deepest sympathies to the Munos Family. I will always remember what a sensitive, caring and polite boy he was growing up. He was always welcome at our house and was one the few "neighborhood boys" that our dog trusted fully. They say dogs know best, and I know our Suzie had him pegged as someone who could be trusted to treat her well. Again, we are so sorry for your loss that words can't even express how we feel. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

I am deeply sorry for the great loss that has accured in your family. You folks don't know me, but your story rings close to my heart, as I've lived through such loss in my family as well. The loss of a loved one is especially tragic when the one you lose is so young, and so full of life, and it makes it all so much more cruel to our own souls.
The biggest point I pray to get across, is that you all still have each other, and you all will ALWAYS have the memories. So please hold the memories close, and each other even closer.
God bless you all.

As lifelong friends of the Munoz family, my family was devastated upon hearing the tragic news about Joey... Joey and his father mike introduced my two sons to wrestling.. We were priviledged to witness all Joeys state championships as a youth wrestler and as a high school wrestler.. Though our fondest memories are of joey, his brothers, and my sons at the hotel rooms , the hotel pools, the running in the hallways, the wrestling on the beds, then getting up in the morning and them taking care of business on the mat the next day... Two weeks ago my son Pedro called me and he sounded so excited he told he had just seen and talked to joey at a work site.. Joey had that kind of effect on us!!! Joey you will never be forgotten by my family, you will live in our hearts forever!! R.I.P. Joey...

We have dreams for our Children's future that we believe will become real one day- and they never involve a tragedy like this. We are so very sorry. Joey was an amazingly kind soul who reached out to support Sydney and we are all very grateful for his open, honest and positive approach to lift her up and to help others. He will be remembered always for his amazing gifts and talents as well as his kindhearted soul. Our prayers for you all.

Our sincere and heartfelt condolences goes out to the Munoz family and Munoz clan. Our families have been friends since our days on the West Side Flats. We have always appreciated the work Mike and Joey did giving our grandsons the jump start to wrestling. In fact our grandson's first wrestling singlet came from Joey .
We can not begin to feel the sorrow and sadness that must be in the hearts of all the Munozs' and Joey's friends , but we certainly understand. May you all find peace and solace with the Creator during this most difficult time. Joey will continue to live in the hearts of so many people he impacted. May he now Rest In Peace

I met Joey as a spunky, 8th grade student in my science class. He was such a ball of energy- and so fun to be around. It was fun seeing him in the halls throughout HS and watching him grow into a young man. My heart aches knowing the grief you all are going through. As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends. God Bless You.
