Norma Harper Obituary

Harper, Norma nee Schmuck Born 8/15/1915 in St. Paul died at home at Forest Lake MN on January 19, 2008. Preceded in death by husbands William Bremer, (1944) and Herbert Harper ( 2000). Survived by sisters Elida Knoll, Joan Harrington, Marcelle Schulte, and brother Irvin Schmuck. Also survived by her sons Irvin Harper of Whitehorse, Yukon Territory, Douglas Harper( Suzan) of Pittsburg P, and Todd Harper ( Lynn) of Saint Paul, MN, six grandchildren,(Saul,Erin, Molly, Matt, Colter, Libby) and one great grandchild.(Violet). Norma was a grand lady who lived a rich life that included world travel, rug hooking, service on the Forest Lake Hospital board, and teaching ceramics classes. Her warmth, generosity and candor will be dearly missed.

I have wonderful memories of Norma's ceramic classes. I attended for years and still enjoy some of my creations and memories always of her sense of humor and mentoring.
