Miss you dad! Coming up on your 7th "death anniversary" doesn´t get any easier. Know that I think of your soft smiling eyes, strong working hands, and life skills you taught me.

This sounds like the William Schmidt I was stationed and roomies with in Kaneohe, Hawaii while serving in the USMC, in the late seventies. The picture attached is of the William Schmidt I knew and have been searching for the last few years just to reconnect to talk old times and to reconnect and create new good times but it looks like I might be too late. I pray its not him and apologize in advance to this family for any inconvenience I might have caused by bringing this back up. If this is the William Schmidt in the picture then you as his family and friends, have my utmost empathy for your loss. I spent a couple of years and a lot of time with Schmidt in K-Bay Hawaii, my name is Jeffery James and would love to talk to any member of his family just to find out what I might find out. Look me up on FB to share contact info...

My condolences to Bill's family on his passing.I only learned of it two day's ago and I will miss his sense of humor and bumping into him here and there.
I grew up with Bill and went to Cleveland Jr.High and Johnson High School with him, the class of 1975 was always in for a good time when Bill was involved also spent some year's with him when he was a supervisor mechanic for Coca Cola's fleet in Eagan. It was a good time to go over to the shop and chew the fat about good times past and his group of friends whom I know also.Coke got rather boring when Bill moved on to a different shop but he was glad to go to greener pastures.
Bill alway's had good news to share, which made his friendship exceptional.I will miss him alot..Bill,sorry you left so early, the Earth has a new void.

To the family of Bill: Bill worked with us for many years at Heritage of Edina and we all loved him. He was very special to many of his friends here and we were shocked to hear of his passing. The residents adored him and missed him after he left.
Several of us here at Heritage would be attending the service but we just now found out that it is today.
Again, our deepest sympathy to all his loved ones. We love you Bill!!
