Two weeks ago today, you left us. It just isn't the same here without you. Celeste asks for you everyday. I try to explain, but I think she just hopes my answer will be different next time. You'd be happy to know that Ricky is footin' with Frank tonight, but I'm sure it will be with a heavy heart. We promise to be there for your mom, sister, Jen and the kids. I will always remember you and your boats or snowmobiles ripping across the lake.Or you teaching me to slalom ski on the boom. I remember your 15-30 foot high fires at the beach. Dave,knowing you and being a friend to you was a big part of my life. Going 75mph in "lunatic fringe" in our winter jackets because you were excited to get the boat in the water. Footing down the Minn. river. going bow hunting in Hinkley,Mn. getting fix-it tickets when I used your big yellow truck! and all the other things we did together! I will always tell stories about you and you will never be forgotten!!!

Paula & Family,
You can take great pride in the way that you raised Dave. Especially, with the way that he cared for his friends and family. Dave & I went to College together and he was later in my wedding. Our days in college were filled with never ending laugther and fun. Bless his sole, he was one of the best and will never be forgotten.

Our heart goes out to you and your family during this time of loss. We were very saddened to learn about Dave.
We spent a lot of time together at the U of M, including living together for a year.
Dave was larger than life. I will never forget his appetite for fun, the big chevy truck, fast boat and his patience trying to teach us "engineers" to barefoot.
Dave was in our wedding, and one of our favorite memories was how good he looked in a tux with no socks! Only Dave could pull that off.
Dave was a great friend with a big heart and we will miss him dearly. You raised a great son.

I remember Dave sharing with me the fact that he never missed a single day of high school. I think Dave lived his life that way...he never missed one day.

You were a great person with a positive outlook on life. I'm so glad I had the oportunity to snowmobile with you with Kevin & Linda, Mick, John, Rick, in McCall, ID as well as here in MN and WI. You always had the niche for having fun and making sure everyone else shared your enthusiasm. I'll always remember Chef Manifold as well as making sure I always had the big sled to tote my big body up the mountains. May you rest in peace and keep your enthusiasm until we meet again.

David, you taught me how to ride my first bike, a hand me down from my sister - even though that bike was an ugly girls bike with a banana seat, you convinced me to try and learn - you also taught me how to play AC/DC on the guitar when I was 12 - And I play still to this day! You are an inspiration that will be sadly missed - even though I had never had contact with you again since I was 12 years old... I will miss you in my heart forever my long lost friend and brother I never had... Rest in peace my friend...
I will never forget Paula, Heidie, and yourself - Even Montana - the dog. It was a pleasure to grow up next door to such wonderful people.

Dave, My time knowing you was way to short, but was filled with fun, sun and adventure. Your determination to get me up on skis gave me a charge of energy. A bigger motor helped too. What a sad sad day to learn of David's passing...from high school soccer to college engineering days David was as solid as they come, a friend, always willing to help when the books were beating me up, an absolute joy to be around and a great asset to this world...I only wish I had the chance to see you in recent years ol' bud...God Bless the Kammerer family in this time of pain. I just wanted to say that David was full of life. He has always been one of my favorite barefoot tourniment buddies like Joe Knapp who introduced us. I consider myself lucky to have meet such a person. Even though I haven't seen or talked to Dave in a few years, he will be missed but never forgotten.God Bless all the family and Dave will always be in my prayers. What a great guy!

We had the honor of knowing David for a short time, when we moved next door to him. The first day we moved in he was so willing to help us and so very kind to us. One couldnt ask for a better neighbor. We knew from the start he was a GREAT person to know. We had many laughs with him, my favorite is the day he told me my dog let herself into his house at 5 am and shared his shower with him. We laughed and he laughed. David showed us how to LIVE a life to the fullest. He will be forever remembered in our hearts.

We are so very sorry to read of Davids unexpected death. We remember him as a young teenager.David helped us with our yard work.He was a fantastic worker & our whole family enjoyed him. I would make him cookies & we would talk. I told him if he would get a good education he would go far in this world. He Did. He bought our son,Mark, ski boat. David was so excited.

I worked with Dave for several years at Braun and we became good friends. I was shocked when a mutual friend called Friday with the tragic news of Dave's death. I met David 16 years ago and as a fellow barefoot waterskier we hit it off right from the start. We enjoyed skiing and scuba diving together as well as racing boats together the last 3 years. He was a great friend and will be missed by many.

Dk, you were larger than life itself. You weren’t just a friend, you were far more. You weren’t just a brother, you were far more. The many times Linda and I were lucky enough to have you as our guest at our home in Idaho will be fond memories that we will always cherish. The dirt bike trips in the desert and mountains, the annual backcountry sleddin’ trips near McCall, and even just kicking back and relaxing in the hot tub after a hard days ride with a cold beer seemed like just another day of fun at the time, but what we wouldn’t give to be able to do it with you once again. You lived life with gusto, integrity, and passion. You truly cared about family and friends. We know you are riding high on a cloud right now, wearing your Scooby Doo boxers, and a big fat grin.

It is with great sadness that, David, who was like a second brother to me, is gone. We grew up together and you had two sisters who loved you very very much.

It would have been nice to have had David on earth longer.
