I enjoyed talking to Manfred when he came to the Ski Council meetings and the ULLR Ski Club meetings. He was such a soft spoken and gentle man. He will really be missed. May he now ski whenever he wants in heaven; maybe he will meet up with Lyle Severson! My sincere condolences to Margie and family.

I was saddened to hear about Manfred. I met him several years ago at Trollhaugen ski area in Dresser, WI. We often rode the chairlift together and would always talk about the number of ski trips he had planned. He would barely take a few minutes for lunch and no matter how cold it was outside, he just kept skiing. I pray they have ski hills in heaven. He will truly be missed and I will definitely ski a few runs in his honor each time I go out to ski. His passion for skiing is like mine. We live to ski! Every year he would bring a box of German chocolates to share with all of us. He was one of the most gentle man I have ever met. He also never, never corrected me when I called him 'Mansfred' instead of 'Manfred.' He would just smile. May he ski or dance every day in heaven. RIP, my friend.
