Bob was a colleague of mine for several years on the House Appropriations Committee. Though we were far apart politically (by the standards of those bygone days at least) I always appreciated his hard work, good humor, loud socks, and his virtuoso command of the train whistle. May he rest in peace.

Jan - so sorry for your loss. There is nothing like "Dad", and I was reminded of your story about your shoe. Have thought about you often and hope all is well with you and yours.

May you rest in peace, Bob. What a life and career you've had; embellished by your many years of public/community service. Thank you for mentoring my former husband into the banking industry many many years ago. Thoughts and prayers are with your family at this time.

Helen, We were so sad to hear of Bob's passing! I sang with him, as did you at church. I was the redhead alto. I will never forget his many accomplishments and great voice, but mostly the big smile and giggle whenever I saw him.
Condolences and hugs, Heidi and Floyd Beecher (both now grey)
