MANCHESTER -- Elmer N. Soderberg, 90, of Manchester, died Feb. 14, 2009, at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack after a brief illness.
He was born in Rockport, Mass., on Feb. 22, 1918, to Lars Walfred and Anna P. (Boman) Soderberg, and had been a resident of Manchester for many years.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Prior to his retirement, he worked for Public Service of New Hampshire for 49 years. He was an avid golfer.
Family includes his wife, Jocelyn (Boisvert) Soderberg of Manchester; one son, Kris Soderberg of Bedford; one granddaughter; one sister, Doris Kaffel of Hampstead; and several nieces and nephews.
SERVICES: Calling hours will be Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at J.N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 110 Bridge St.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 a.m. in St. Raphael Church. Entombment will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum.
