OSSIPEE -- Brenton Alexander Rutter, 23, of Rte. 171 Old Granite Road, died April 27, 2010, at his home surrounded by his loving family and friends, following a long battle with leukemia.
He was born Oct. 1, 1986, in Milledgeville, Ga., to Deborah A Corbett and Roger D. Rutter and had lived in Ossipee for most of his life.
Following his graduation from Kingswood Regional High School in 2005, he entered the U.S. Marine Corps, where he served for 4 1/2 years as a corporal. He loved the Marine Corps and will be missed by many friends and family.
Family members, in addition to his mother of Ossipee and his father and stepmother, Joy, of Center Ossipee, include his sisters, Amanda Sharpe of Hampton and Hayley Rutter of Ossipee; his grandparents, Harvey and Nellie Emerson of Ossipee and Donald Rutter of Marquette, Mich.; his girlfriend, Courtney Banville of Wolfeboro, stepbrothers Jason Bovee, Darin Bovee, Jonathan Bovee, Tim Bovee, and Joel Bovee; a niece and nephew and cousins.
SERVICES: Calling hours will be Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Lord Funeral Home, Wolfeboro. Funeral services will be Saturday at 3 p.m., at First Congregational Church, Center Ossipee.
