Peter Savickas Obituary

EPPING - Peter Anthony Savickas, 57, died suddenly at his home on Aug. 11, 2012.

He was born on May 4, 1955, in Chelsea, Mass., the son of the late Anthony B. and Helen (Scofield) Savickas.

Peter grew up in Norwood, Mass., and had been a resident of Epping since 1969. He was formerly employed for many years as a heavy equipment operator. A dedicated husband, father, and grandfather, Peter loved his family above all and enjoyed time spent with his daughters and grandchildren. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was always making people laugh. Peter also was passionate about antique automobiles and muscle cars. He was a skilled backyard mechanic who was also talented at automotive painting and bodywork. He also enjoyed many simple pleasures including watching TV and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle.

In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by his brother, William Savickas, who died in 1999. Peter is survived by his wife of 29 years, Tammy (Alexander) Savickas of Epping; two daughters, Rebecca Savickas and her significant other, Ronald Mason, and Holly Savickas and her significant other, Joshua Shepp, all of Epping; five grandchildren, Alexis Tracy, Anthony and Andrew Paltinavich, and Riley and Mason Shepp; his brother, Mark Savickas, of Portsmouth; three sisters, Marylou Savickas of Strafford; Elaine and husband, Dave Spurlock, of Lawton, Okla., and Susan Pawlak of Gilbert, Ariz.; his father and mother-in-law, Dave and Lynne Stevens; nine brother and sister-in- laws, Lori Brown, Tim and Doreece Alexander, Kerry Alexander, Rick and Penny Alexander, Scott and Audry Alexander, and Tina Alexander; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

SERVICES: Graveside services will be held on Friday, Aug. 17, 2012, at 1 p.m. at Prospect Cemetery, Route 27, Epping. Brewitt Funeral Service, 9 Pleasant St., Epping, is handling the arrangements.

I will never forget growing in around the Savickas family..especially the laughter that was always going on between all of you. One joke sticks in my mind about Peter..He was talking about "Shout" stain remover..then he started yelling at the stain on his shirt.."Get off of there" lol.. said it "did'nt work on him lol.
