Alma Morris Buell, 95, passed away on Friday, February 4, 2011, at the Harding Nursing Home, Waterville, with her family by her side. She was born the daughter of the late Glen and Lila Gaut Morris on February 2, 1916, in the Town of Augusta. Alma was educated in the Knoxboro Schools. She married Lionel Saterlee Buell on July 23, 1934, in Vernon. Lionel passed away in 1988. Alma is survived by her three daughters and their spouses, Janice and William Madison, of Stratford, NY, Gail and Nelson Blau, of Deansboro, and Joyce and William Bailey, of Amsterdam, NY; two daughters-in-law, Lena and Eileen Buell; 21 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 36 great-great-grandchildren; three sisters and two brothers and their spouses, Jennie Buell, Clifford Morris, Eleanor and Kenneth Jipson, Jeanette Campbell, and Leonard and Marilyn Morris; a sister-in-law, Helen Morris; relatives; and friends. She was predeceased by two sons, Rodney and Wayne Buell; four brothers; two sisters; and two grandsons. A Funeral Service will be held Monday, February 7, 2011, at 5:00 PM at the Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, Inc., 35 College St., Clinton. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Monday from 2:00 PM until the time of the service. Interment will be held in the spring at the Deansboro Cemetery.
