Dear Shirley, So sorry to hear of your loss. Many years ago you used to come to my mother's general store in Prospect and I remember your friendliness. Loosing a sibling is never easy, and you and your family are in my prayers.

To all of Carl's family:

Carl will truly be missed by all of us at Grace Church, where he has been a faithful rock of support.

Unfortunately, we are out of town and will not be able to express our condolences to you in person. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.

I enjoyed many conversations with Carl at Grace Church. Much of what he did for our church will go un-noticed. I know him as a man with extensive musical knowledge, a dedicated family man, a devout episcopalian, with a rapier wit. I will miss our chats, his humor and his friendship while taking solace in the knowledge that he is in a better place.
