Gary Garner Obituary
Brookfield
Gary D. Garner, 64, of Stanbro Rd., passed away Friday, May 11, 2012, at Community Memorial Hospital, Hamilton, NY. He was born October 21, 1947, in Lexington, TN, a son of Silas and Kathleen Waite Garner, and was a graduate of Hillsboro High School in Nashville, TN. Gary proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a self-employed gun dealer and a collector of guns and knives. He was a member of the National Rifle Association. Surviving are his wife, Alberta Bailey; his mother, Kathleen Todd, of Jackson, TN; step-children, Berdella Moynihan, of Broadalbin, Joseph (Debra) Kimball, of Chadwicks, Pamela (Karl) Thompson, of New Port Richey, FL, and Joanne Bailey, of Amsterdam; several cousins, including a special cousin, Arleigh Randall, of Little Falls; and his close friends, Leonard and Carol Salisbury, of VT. He was predeceased by his father, Silas Garner; grandmother, Kittie; and step-father, Arnold Todd. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 16, 2012, from the Kloster-Northrop & Bentz Funeral Home, 210 E. Main St., Waterville, NY. Interment will be private at the convenience of his family. There will be no calling hours. Contributions in his memory may be made to your local humane society. Alberta and Barney, We are saddened to hear of your loss of Little Gary. He was a One-Of-A-Kind man. We will always hold close to our hearts the love, support and honor he paid to Nonnie Florance. We know how much he was committed to his dogs and that makes us smile. It is okay to cry. Our deepest sympathy to you all.
