Jane B. Rowe, 88, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 11, 2012, at the Harding Nursing Home. She was born in New York Mills on July 7, 1924, the daughter of the late John and Emily Watkins Rowe (Bentley). She attended local schools and graduated with the Class of 1942. Jane resided in New York Mills until 1944, when she moved to New Hartford with her family. She had resided in Waterville since 1986. Jane's working career spanned over 44 years. She retired from ARA Vending in Oriskany, where she worked as a Vault Cashier, retiring with over 23 years of service. She had been previously employed by Westinghouse Electric and Chicago Pneumatic. Jane was a life member of OES Chapter 452 of Utica. Jane always said her greatest assets where her family and friends. She leaves behind her sister, Joan Crawford, of Waterville; her brother and sister-in-law, Donald and June Bentley, of Sebring, FL; nieces; nephews; and special friends. In addition to her parents, Jane was predeceased by her brother, John Rowe. By Jane's request, there will be a private service for Jane's family and friends. Burial will be in Glenside Cemetery in New York Mills. There are no calling hours. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Paul Funeral Home of Madison. Jane's family would like to extend many thanks to the staff, nurses and Dr. Francis Chabot of the Harding Nursing Home. Thanks for the loving care given to Jane. In memory of Jane, please consider a donation to the Waterville Area Ambulance Corps or St. Jude's Children's Hospital. "Hi everyone, I've come home!"

Joan and Family,
I am so sorry for your loss. Jane (Dee) was a treasure to all who knew her. Mom, Holly, and Jack and I have been reflecting back on so many great memories we have of our New York Family.
