Margaret A. (Pisano) Spado, 93, of 1625 Black River Blvd., entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, April 21, 2010. She was born in Utica on December 26, 1916, the daughter of Angelo and Mickelina Nole Pisano, and was raised and educated in the Utica area. On April 27, 1940, Margaret was united in marriage with Samuel G. Spado, with whom she shared a happy and blessed union of 48 years. Sam passed away on March 29, 1988. God gifted Margaret with a life filled with sharing, generosity and commitment to family. Her soft spoken and gentle mannerism created a successful marriage and endearing motherhood. Her love for cooking, baking, sewing and crocheting produced many treasured gifts. Margaret will be sadly missed by her daughter and son-in-law, Mickelina and John Paolozzi, Sr., of Whitesboro; a son and daughter-in-law, Samuel G., Jr., and Elaine Spado, of Rome; her cherished grandchildren, John and Christina Paolozzi, Michael Paolozzi and fiance, Victoria Crouse, William and Heidi Spado, Scott Spado and Brian Spado; great-grandchildren, who were a true joy to her life and who affectionately called her G.G., Nicholas Paolozzi, Brandon Paolozzi, Katelyn Royer and Garrett Royer.She is also survived by several nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews. Margaret was predeceased by an infant son, Donald; an infant daughterm Sandra; a brother and sister-in-law, John and Carmella (Merola) Pisano; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Anna and Carlo Biancardi, Angela and Frank Surace and Laura Pisano; and numerous other in-laws. The family wishes to acknowledge, with love, Bob and Maxine Pisano and Brittany Church for all their visits; Peachy Circelli for her love and support; and to everyone for their visits and their prayers. Happy 70th anniversary to Mom and Dad. In keeping with Margarets wishes, their will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday morning at 11:00 at St. John the Baptist Church with all welcome to attend. Interment will be in St. Johns Cemetery.
