Patricia E. Brewer
Vernon
Patricia E. Brewer, age 70, of the School Bell Apartments, passed away, peacefully, on Good Friday evening, April 6, 2012, in the Siegenthaler Center, with her loving family at her side. She was born on September 13, 1941, in Clinton, New York; a daughter of the late Stanley and Congetta (Gigliotti) Dziekonski, and was a graduate of Clinton High School. Pat was employed as a teacher's assistant with the Oneida-Madison BOCES at J.D. George School of Verona prior to her retirement in 2005. Pat drew her strength and comfort from her Roman Catholic faith and was a member of Holy Family Church of Vernon. She enjoyed nature, gardening, and camping, especially at Southwick Beach and in the Adirondacks. Her most precious times were spent with her grandchildren. She enjoyed and was a proud to be the mother of her two sons, Brett and Brian. She was unfortunately predeceased by Brian in 1993. Surviving are her son, D. Brett and daughter-in-law, Tonya Wester, of Syracuse, and their family, Kristie A. Wester, Timothy B. Wester, Erica Lamirande, and Meghan Lamirande; one great-granddaughter, Aniya Mathis; two brothers, Stanley Dziekonski, of Clinton, and Richard (Frederica) Dziekonski, of Rome; nieces, Ann Marie Latshaw, of New York Mills, and Tracey Sacco-Paz, of FL; nephew, Michael Sacco, of Sauquoit; and aunts, Angie Castonover, of New Hartford, Genevieve Yamroz, of Rome, and Josephine Dziekonski Baker, of Whitesboro. Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, April 9, 2012, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., at the Malecki Funeral Home Inc., 23 Front Street, Vernon. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. in Holy Family Church, Peterboro Street, Vernon. Burial will be in Vernon Center Cemetery, Vernon Center, NY. In memory of Pat, donations may be sent to the Siegenthaler Center, 4277 Middle Settlement Rd., New Hartford, NY, 13413. "Also I am leaving many good friends with whom I have shared many fond memories."
