Dorothy Louise Moon, 89, passed away Sunday, January 18th, 2015, with her devoted family by her side. She is reunited in spirit with the love of her life and husband of 65 years, the late Fred Moon. She was born on August 30th, 1925 to the late Arthur Brewer and Daisey Mudge of Oriskany Falls. She was also predeceased by a daughter, Bonita. Dorothy was a graduate of Oriskany Falls high school and worked for C&U Telephone as an operator. She retired from the Waterville School district where she worked in the cafeteria and drove school bus. Dorothy had a great love of life, but most importantly for her family, who valued her as their matriarch and inspiration. She taught all who loved her the strength and importance of family, and she will be greatly missed. She is survived by her daughter, Judy (Robert "Rip") Elliott of Waterville, and son, Scott Moon (Meg Clark) of Hamilton; a sister, Edith Socha of Deansboro; grandchildren, Sue (Tim) Scully of Brookfield, Donald (Janice) Elliott of Waterville, Lori Elliott Maxon of Hamilton, Diane (Jeff) Williams of Waterville, Jenny Moon (Walter) Lippmann of Glenville, NY, Jessica Moon (Gregory) Owen of Verona, Nichole Moon of Ogdensburg, NY and Amanda Moon of Rochester, NY. She is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren, Karlie Scully; Brooke, Hunter and Dawson Williams; Laken, Bryce, Jaydon and Harrison Elliott; Carter Maxon; Preston and Avery Lippmann; Kerrigan and Chase Owen; and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of Dorothys life at the Teepee at the White Eagle Conference Center in Hamilton, January 24th at 2pm. All arrangements have been entrusted to the Paul Funeral Home in Madison. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to WAVAC.

Judy and Scott. I am so sorry, our families go back along way and she was just a joy, I can hear her laugh and your Dad's giggle.
