Helen Jalowiec Obituary
UTICA - Helen Jalowiec, 91, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2016, at the Masonic Care Community.
She was born on June 6, 1925, a daughter of Stanley and Anna Wolanin. On November 20, 1949, Helen was united in marriage to Stanley Jalowiec in St. Mary's Church, New York Mills. Mr. Jalowiec passed away on April 18, 2011.
Survivors include her children, Kenneth Jalowiec, Woodbridge, VA, Laurie (Ronald) DeAngelo, Manassas, VA, and Kathie (Joel) Bray, Edgewater, MD; a sister, Jane Gacek; brother, Stanley Wolanin; a brother-in-law, Thomas Evans; and a sister-in-law, Genevieve Jalowiec. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives. Helen was predeceased by her sister, Evelyn Evans.
Helen's Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 2, 2016, at Sacred Heart/St. Mary's Church, New York Mills. The family will greet family and friends following the mass. In keeping with Helen's wishes, burial will be private.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt appreciation to all the staff at Masonic Care Community, Erie Household, for taking care of Helen.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations in memory of Helen Jalowiec to Masonic Care Community, 2150 Bleecker Street, Utica, NY 13501.

It is very hard to say our last goodbyes to someone you love. Our prayers and thoughts are with you Kenny, Laurie and Kathy and to all of Helen's other relatives and close friends.
She will be missed by us all but thankful to know that she is now at rest in a much more peaceful place.
The picture selected for her obituary is how we will always remember her....as one very pretty lady.
