My sincere condolences to the Ricci family. I first met John working with him at Jacks on Federal and his upbeat personality was a real treasure. Then we worked together at Fedmart and he soon married the love of his life - Denise. John was a positive influence on us all back then and I still smile when I remember our over-the- line days and Mexico trips. He will always be fondly remembered.

My heart is sadden hearing of your passing. We had fun times filled with lots of laughs that will never be forgotten. Your smile, wit and the one who always called me "MILLS", even though I had many other last names after that one. Condolenses to Denise and your wonderful family. You are leaving behind a wonderful legacy. Meet up with you at another time, John.

My thoughts and prayers go out to you Denise. I remember those days at South Mission just out of our days at Crawford
John was one of the nicest guys I have known. Always a wonderful spirit. I would run to him at the Santee gym on occasion and it was always great to see him. RIP my friend. I am saddened today. God bless

Wow, I am just saddened to know he has left us - and I had not called him since his own dad passed. John was a big part of my teenage years and beyond, always helping me with my VW and trusting me to drive his green bug when I didn't know how to shift. He set an example of being true to who you are, in a world of cool guys and posers and hard partiers. Some of his style is so ingrained I even forgot I was emulating him to begin with. Quite a guy, and a real key role model of my life. I wish I had told him that. Best wishes to Denise, Joey, Steve, Mrs. Ricci and all his family.

Although, I never had the pleasure of meeting John, I have been blessed to be a colleague of Denise.

It's been a privilege to see your family's love and care for one another over the years, and how you extend that celebration of friendship with everyone you come in contact with. Your family brings goodness and light to the people your lives touch.

John's memory will not be forgotten. Through stories, shared memories, and lots of missing him yet to come, may you be ever aware how the love you had together, goes on and on... Romans 8:38-39.

Each of you will be in our thoughts and prayers. We wish you comfort and strength in the days ahead.

May the SDSU Aztecs win one for John!
