Barbara Miller Fairchild

1929 - 2021

Barbara Miller Fairchild passed away quietly April 24, 2021 with her family by her side. She was born on September 9, 1929 in Chatham New Jersey. She attended Chatham High School in Chatham NJ and obtained her Registered Nursing degree at Mountainside School of Nursing in Montclair New Jersey. She was active in Girl Scouts as a scout and leader for 25 years. She was elected and served on the Tower Lakes IL Village Board and served on volunteer committees in the community. After moving to Williamsburg Virginia she worked as a medical volunteer at the Olde Town Clinic for 14 years and volunteered at the Williamsburg Community Hospital. She is survived by her husband of 68 years A Holland Fairchild, her children Lee H Fairchild(Ann), Nancy Fairchild Boreham(Greg) and Judy Passman(James) and her grandchildren Amy Haer(Graham), Thomas Fairchild(Jae), Scott Boreham(Brittney), Daniel Boreham, Joseph Passman and Matthew Passman(Brittney) and two great grandchildren Henry and Benjamin Hear. The family extends their sincere thanks to the WindsorMeade nursing staff and Dr Parnav Parikh for their compassionate care and understanding. In lieu of flowers a memorial donation to The United Methodist Church, 500 Jamestown Road, Willi+amsburg VA 23185 or a charity of your choice. Private internment will be at the Williamsburg United Methodist Church.
