Wallace PESCOTT Obituary

Published by Vancouver Sun and/or The Province from Mar. 17 to Mar. 18, 2012.
PESCOTT, Wallace Edmund
Our loving brother, Wally Pescott, passed away suddenly of natural causes at his home on March 4th, 2012 at the age of 65 years. He was born in Vancouver on August 10th, 1946; spent his childhood in Burnaby and later moved to Vancouver. Wally was predeceased by his parents, Rees and Irene Pescott. He is survived by his 2 sisters, Joan Vernon (George) and Dorothy Deausy (Merv); 3 nephews, Stephen, Craig and Michael; 3 nieces, Christine, Cathy and Susan; 6 great-nephews and 5 great-nieces. He wil be greatly missed by his family at his group home. Wally was the family historian and had a keen mind for dates and events. He loved to keep in touch with everyone and have lots of laughs. He will be remembered for his love of big band music, good food, his great sense of humour and his contribution to The Voice of Cerebral Palsy and The BC Coalition of People with Disabilities. The family wishes to sincerely thank all the attendants, case workers and his fellow group home members for their loving care and friendship. We wish to extend a special thank you to Dr. Tobert for his many years of extraordinary patience and dedication. A Celebration of Wally's Life will be held at the Vancouver Resource Society (main floor), 2006 West 10th Avenue, Vancouver, BC on Thursday, April 5th, 2012 at 11:30 a.m. As an expression of sympathy, a donation in Wally's memory may be made to the Vancouver Resource Society, 310 - 2006 West 10th Avenue, Vancouver, V6J 2B3, 604-731-1020 or online at vrs.org.

Wally was an old neighbour of ours. We went to school together as well. He will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
So sorry for your loss Joan and Dorothy.

I remember Wally from school, he was always ready to crack a joke or make anyone laugh. Our families lived near each other during our junior and high school years and I too feel the world is going to miss his presence among us.
My condolances to Joan and Dorothy and their families.
