When I started working at UBC, 42 years ago, Anna was the Head of Woodward Library and my first boss (first job). She was always encouraging us to find what we loved about our jobs and push for the limits. Whenever I saw her off campus she was always friendly and up for a chat. We have all lost someone who lived life to the fullest and with much gusto.

Anna was a great friend to my mother, Anna Allman from their shared days in the lab at Shaughnessy until my mother's final months at Louis Brier where they wound up across the hall from one another. My condolences to all who feel her loss; Anna was a great spark of life!
