John Doherty Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of John Doherty Jr. of Vancouver, BC on May 1, 2014. John filled the hearts of all who knew him with his own tremendous heart, love, loyalty, devotion and kindness. He is lovingly remembered and missed by his fiancée Janine and his brother William (and Sandra). John dedicated himself selflessly to the care of his parents, John and Deirdre, in their final years; he will be welcomed into their loving arms. A husband- and uncle-to-be, his passing is deeply felt amongst immediate and extended family. John lived his life with remarkable courage - he showed us what commitment meant and shared with us his remarkable compassion. Everyone felt welcome and comfortable around John, a gentle easiness he shared with us all. We will miss his laugh, his passion for his Irish heritage, unmistakable in a crowd and unforgettable in person - we remember and celebrate his life. A Funeral Mass will be held at 1 pm on Friday May 16, 2014 at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in Vancouver. In memory of John, please consider a donation to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of BC.

I had the pleasure of working with him at station g....I just got returned to work to hear about this terrible news. He was such a happy and very helpful co worker. I am shocked and saddened I will not see his smiling face. My deepest condolensces to his family and close friends.
