I had the pleasure and honor of being Bill's secretary for 5 years in the Eaton's Display Dept. What a gentleman with a keen sense of humour and nary an unkind word! I will always regard him as the best "boss" I ever had. He will be sorely missed by all who were lucky to know him. I am glad I got to meet with him one last time when he reached his centennial year. May we meet again my friend and laugh together again.

Warmest regards to all of Bill's family.
Mary and I always enjoyed Bill's company at Roger and Mom's Christmas gatherings.
Thinking of you. Love... Diane

With Sympathy and Care
Dear Roger and family, Anne & I only had a brief moment with your father, but as short as it was it has left us with loving memories of your dad in our hearts.
Walking with a friend in the dark is better than walking alone in the light.
Just to let you know you are not alone.
Love Anne & Bob

Uncle Bill was an eloquent and gracious gentleman. At the age of 8, I (Jack) and a friend, visited Uncle Bill at his office at Eatons on Granville where he promptly gave us VIP status and treated us with a piece of cake and a beverage as well as a tour of his office. Needless to say, my friend was very impressed as was I. It is a very fond memory and one I have passed on to my children and grandchildren. For the last two decades without fail we have exchanged Christmas greetings in the form of an ancient ritual called "mailing a card". It was always a pleasure to read his kind and sincere greetings written in the finest penmanship. It was a privilege to have been invited to his ninetieth birthday party, and it continues to have been our great privilege to have known him. Our deepest condolences to his family.
Most Sincerely,
Jack and Sheila
