Paul Robert Harstone

Paul Robert Harstone December 15, 1961 - December 21, 2017 It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to our beloved husband, father, grandpa, brother, uncle, son and friend, Paul Robert Harstone. Paul left us much too soon after battling cancer for the past year. Born December 15th, 1961, to Doyne and (the late) Gloria Harstone, Paul leaves behind his loving wife of 32 years, Maria, and their three children Lauren (Chad), Kristofer and Juliana; and grandsons Jack and Linden. Paul also leaves behind his father, Doyne, sister Deborah, his brothers Brad (Fiona) and Michael (Andrea), and many nieces and nephews.

Paul and Maria moved from Vancouver to Penticton in 1998 and in 2015 they moved to Predator Ridge in Vernon. Paul was a loving, selfless and generous man who loved his family above all else. He worked in the hearth industry throughout B.C. for 30 years. He was a lover of the outdoors, a BBQ master, a fire fanatic, and a golf enthusiast. He had an appreciation for good food, fine wine and great company. Although he only had a few short years with his grandsons he loved every moment he got to spend with them. He will be forever loved and always missed.

Thank you to Dr. D. Peters, the staff at Vernon Jubilee and Kelowna General Hospitals and the staff at the North Okanagan Hospice Society for all of the excellent care that was provided to our family during this difficult time.

There will be a Celebration of Life at Waterview in Vancouver on February 16th from 1:00 to 3:30. For our Okanagan friends, a Celebration of Life will be held at Poplar Grove Winery in Penticton on February 19th from 1:00 to 3:30.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society in Paul's memory would be greatly appreciated.
