Roger Eugene Nicholson

Oxnard, CA

Roger Eugene Nicholson passed away Septermber 24, 2015

Roger was born in Tulare, Ca. on March 1, 1934. He joined the Army right after graduating from high school. Went to college and then worked for the Internal Revenue Service.. Retired at the age of 55 from the comptrollers office at the Port Hueneme base.

Roger was a 20 year member of The American Legion Oxnard Post #48, also a member of the Ventura Moose Lodge.Roger enjoyed dancing, bowling, camping, traveling, but most of all the company of his many friends.

Pre-deceased by parents Cecil and Eunice Nicholson,sister and brother-in-law John and Dorothy Marques,brother Thomas Nicholson, 2 step-daughters and 1 grandson.

He is survived by loving and devoted wife , Loretta Nicholson, daughters Sheri Nicholson and Michelle Duke (Dean), step-son Gary Cook (Valerie) 8 grandchildren and 11 great-children

and extended family members.

Thank you to Assisted Hospice Care, St. Johns Hospital and Victoria Care Center. Also to many friends that were there to show their love and support.

Donations may be made to The American Legion Oxnard Post #48 or to the charity of your choice.

There will be a Celebration of Life on October 10, 2015 at 1 o'clock .The American Legion Oxnard Post #48, 2101 Civic Center Dr. Oxnard, Ca.
