1919 - 2013 Joseph Corselli, age 94, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 9, 2013, at St. John's Regional Medical Center in Oxnard after a brief illness.
Joe proudly served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II in South Africa and Europe. He was a successful and happy business owner in Oxnard, as a Barber for over 40 years with many loyal customers and made many lifetime friendships. Joe had a passion for horses, dogs, birds and specifically homing pigeons. He won many races with his pigeons and was inducted into the Hall of Fame for the American Racing Pigeon Association.
He is survived by two sons, Dennis Joseph Corselli and Ralph Macias. He was preceded in death by his lovely wife of 50 years, Irene B. Corselli. At his request, he will be cremated and a private burial at sea will take place at a future date.
We will miss our dad, but find peace in knowing that he lived a happy and full life, a gift he leaves with us all. So, if you wish to remember this kind and gentle man, please do so with a kind deed or word and he will live forever.

Our deepest condolences goes out to you. At this difficult time my husband knew your dad through Gene (barber from Saticoy) Your dad was a sweet man with a good sense of humor always making everyone laugh at the Barber Shop on Saviers Road. We always used to see him his little "Red Ranchero". We always used to call him "Corselli" and he'd smile from ear to ear. He will be truly missed may he now R.I.P.

An icon of Oxnard has left us. Joe was a HAPPY man! He always put his hand out to greet me and always gave me a big pat on the back with kindness and encouragement! It was a pleasure to have been a part of Joe's life. I remember him fondly and all his stories! Even to the end he had a smile painted across his face. Rest in peace Joe!
Dennis & Ralph, you did good taking care of your father and he loved you and appreciated it very much! With all my love- David
