Biviana Perez de Hernandez, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister and friend, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Oct. 10, 2010.
Biviana was born on May 19, 1923, to parents Concepcion Perez Rico and Patricia Salazar De Perez in Raton, N.M. Biviana was a beautiful, yet humble, hard-working, compassionate and generous woman. Nothing brought her more joy than spending time with her family and cooking for them delicious bunuelos, tamales, and chiles rellenos.
Biviana was preceded in death by husband, Guadalupe Hernandez Gallaga, on March 3, 1996.
She survived by her older sister, Cristina Ramirez; sons, Juan Jesus Hernandez, Arturo Hernandez, Javier Hernandez; daughters, Maria Luz Barajas, Eva Gonzalez, Celia Garza.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 14 at Garcia Mortuary Chapel, 629 South "A" Street in Oxnard. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 15 at Santa Clara Catholic Church, 323 S. E Street, Oxnard. Interment will follow at Santa Clara Cemetery, 2370 North "H" Street, Oxnard.
