(1963 - 2010) Brenda, at the young age of 47, has left this earth to be with her savior Jesus Christ. She passed away in Rio Rancho, N.M., on Dec. 15, 2010.
Brenda was a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and devoted wife. She found joy and happiness in living life to the fullest, and cherished her family and friendships. Brenda could light up any room with her smile.
Born on Dec. 6, 1963, Brenda was a longtime Oxnard resident graduating from C.I.H.S. in 1982 and from ITT in 1997. After raising her sons, she met and married her husband, James (Tony) Stackhouse. A few years later they moved to New Mexico in 2005 where she followed in her father's footsteps and became a school bus driver. Brenda enjoyed driving the students and was loved, respected and adored by all the kids, parents and her co-workers at the Rio Rancho School District, so much they have decided to retire her school bus number, in her memory.
Brenda's greatest love were her sons, who as a single mother, raised two boys to be good Catholic, honest and respectful men. She was so proud of them and their families. Brenda was proud to be the mother of two United States soldiers.
Brenda is survived by her husband, James Stackhouse; sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph and Valerie Robles, Hank and Kasia Robles; five grandchildren, Kaila, Cadence, Callie, Gavin and Ariel; her parents, Arturo and Amelia Rivera, Sr.; brother, Art Rivera, Jr (Lisa); sisters, Sally Trevino (David), Sharon Rosendo and Micaela Rivera; her loving extended family, more friends than anyone could ever ask for and lastly her beloved dog, "Stupy."
