On Oct. 29, 2010, Cecilia Galindo Lopez, beloved wife, mother, sister, went with the Lord suddenly but peacefully at the age of 53.
She was a soft spoken mother with a loving heart. Everyday in her prayers she would start off the day asking the Lord for peace in the world, healing prayer for the ill, and give thanks.
She enjoyed being around friends, neighbors, and family. She loved to visit, and she loved visitors, especially with her son, Eric, and her mother-in-law, Andrea Lopez. She considered everyone she came in contact with her family. She graduated from Oxnard High School in 1976, and was employed by Seaboard Lemon Assn. in Oxnard, Gaizer Tool in Ventura, and Service Master in Camarillo. Cecilia is preceded in death by her father, Ramon Galindo.
She is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, Manuel Parra Lopez; beloved sons, Eric Ray Lopez, Angel Andres Lopez; and beloved daughter, Jeanette Cecilia Lopez; sister, Maria Galindo Rivera (Luis); and brother, Jose Luis Galindo; aunts, Socorro Flores and Guadalupe Galindo; mother in-law, Andrea P. Lopez; brothers-in-law, Louis P. Lopez (Rose), John P. Lopez (Carol), Guadalupe P. Lopez (Buzz), Joseph P. Lopez (Veronica), and Robert P. Lopez (Malena); many nieces, nephews, cousins, compadres, God children and friends.
Her love of God and her open heart has given us the strength to ease the pain, and assure all of us she is in peace with the Lord. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 4, at Garcia Mortuary Chapel, 629 South "A" Street in Oxnard. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 5, at St. Anthonys Catholic Church, Oxnard. Interment will follow at Santa Clara Cemetery, 2370 North "H" Street, Oxnard.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I know that there are no words that can be said at a time like this but even though I was not a close friend to Cecilia I wanted to share with her family. I first met her when I was around 5 or 6yrs old I lived around the corner from her aunt on hayes and I remember that even at that age Cecilia was a very, very nice person, so warm and with a shy smile as the years passed I would run into her at Oxnard High and she didn't talk much but she always had a smile. May God be with you all. I know that Cecilia is in heaven. My prayers will be with you all.

Jeanette & Family,
Please accept our most heartfelt condolences on the loss of your mother. We have very fond memories of your beautiful mother Cecilia. Every time she went to visit our mom and Lulu, she always had a tender smile on her face. Your mother always talked about her children with such proudness and expressed how much she loved you all dearly. God was in need of an angel in heaven and that is why he picked her. She may not be here physically, but she will always be with you at heart. Hold on to the wonderful memories of your mother and may those memories help ease your pain. If you ever need someone to talk to, please do not hesitate to contact us.
You and your family will always be in my prayers.
