1968-2011
Todd was released from this world on June 11, 2011.
Born Todd Christopher Martak on June 19, 1968, in Peoria, Ill., Todd was a sweet soul from the very beginning. Sensitive to his surroundings and others, he added joy to the lives of all who knew him. Todd was an incredible caretaker of his older brother Chip, who was born with Cerebral Palsy and preceded him in passing. His gentle nature, sharp wit, and kind heart touched many along his journey.
Upon graduating from the University of California San Diego in 1991 with a Bachelor's Degree in economics, he developed an extreme interest and talent in computer science, and continued on to earn his A+, N+, MOS, MOM, MCP, MCSA certificates. Todd showered those he knew with his affection, humor, commitment, and soft spirit. He was an avid reader, a philosophical thinker, and enjoyed exchanging intellectual conversation. Todd held a unique connection with animals, and was kind, gentle, soft-hearted, quiet, witty, engaging, thoughtful, and caring. He carries with him the deep and unconditional love he knew from his wife and stepson, and all those blessed with the opportunity to know him.
Although he left this world too soon for his loved ones, he has now received the peace he sought for a lifetime, and has earned his place in eternity. He is survived by his loving wife, Lisette, and his stepson, Jake; mother and father, Marcia and Michael Martak; grandfather, James J. Durbin; grandmother, Connie Martak; uncles, James and Robert Durbin; cousins, James and Kristen Durbin and Tara Davidson; second cousins, James, Garrett, and Mitchell Durbin, and Ashley and Brooke Davidson. Memorial

15 months later and it never gets easier. Your absence in my life has left a hole where my heart is supposed to be. My only solace is knowing the peace you are enjoying and so rightfully deserve. Loving you always, every minute of every day I am left on earth....

Todd Christopher Martak was a beautiful soul. He was a wonderful brother to Chipper. Todd was smart and had a dry sense of humor. Todd was a sensitive person with a heart of gold. I am so happy that Todd found the love of his life and developed and shared his love with his own family. I will miss my cousin. Rest in peace and god bless you.
